2004 prefect's seminar - penang

i'm back(: hahaha after spending 4 days having seminar in penang! it was vv fun?hehe i don know is tt a correct word to use=p or maybe meaningful and interesting are better words to represent the ''trip''.

day 1

day 1 is just practically travelling.we set off from school at around 645a.m. it takes about 8 to 9 hours to travel to penang.however, we have to stop for lunch and some ''nature call'' breaks.so for that itself it takes abt 3 hours already.so in total we took around 12 hours to reach penang.so by the time we reached penang..its already about 7P.M!? what a long travel man..
for one of our breaks...we stopped at this place where they sell v nice food.there were ice-cream and stuff.and there is one shop that sells ALL KINDS of DOUGHNUTS!! the shop is called dunkin doughnuts i think...hahahah i cant remember.but their doughnuts are quite good.and i bought two doughnuts(:
ohya! and their kfc sells cheese wedges!!its damn good!

well...and we went for dinner and then check in to citybay view hotel. its much much better than malacca's.and then went for a short briefing at the seminar room.
my buddy is michelle chee(: so means that we share the same room.

day 2

we got to wake up at 6.30 every morning and go for breakfast. and at 8 was our very first seminar(session 1). it was conducted by ms heng. then it was followed by coffee break.hahhaa. in penang..we were all vv well fed! for all the meals...the food were v good.and there were quite a number of coffee breaks.so we eat and eat and drink and drink a lot of coffee.
hahhahaha. played some games...one of the games is called MMS.for example..the word/s is/are ''white chicks'' then we have to act it out and the first girl have to guess what it is.lol..it was quite fun...hahhaha.after tt we have seminar with our ex-co. which is our so-called ''leaders'' of our comittee.

and then it was luch time!hehe.had lunch in the hotel...but i cant remember what did i eat.=p well..then followed by another seminar which is conducted by ms kim.
ms kim's talk was about what is expected of a prefect and the qualities that are needed of us.
after that was what all of us have longed waited for! shopping!!=D but before that we went to this place called 'gurney drive' for dinner.we can use our own money to buy any food that we wanted. the food there was not bad larh..just that the place was dirty.
after dinner we went to 'gurney plaza' for shopping!!it wasnt a v good place to shop cos there isnt anything nice.so end up i only bought a pouch.=(
we were already quite tired after having all this activities...but then we still have another seminar in the night.it was a planning session until 10.30p.m.
however after tt..all ex-co must have to stay back for a meeting..and my buddy is an ex-co.so i have to go to amelia's room..so that she and her buddy can babysit me=p
omg..i waited for so long until i fell asleep!my buddy only came to pick me up at 1A.M! mr ang had such a long meeting with them=/

day 3

had seminar with mrs b then followed by mr ang.
aiyo..this mr ang ar..all his talks are related to history!! all the examples that he uses are all about hist!hahahahah we were like HUH(!) lol! he relates us to emperors...and he said something like '' most civilizations like the chinese, indian and rome adopted the practice of land division''...the reason is because the empire was too large to govern alone..hence they need to divide it.so this is why prefects are needed.
hahahhaha.he is just a typical history teacher larh! so we had a ''lesson on hist'' in penang=p

ohya..and all of us have to do a presentation for our own comittee.and ms heng realised that we used the word ''like'' too often. cos whenever we don know what to say..we will always go ''erm....'' or ''er.....'' but now we always use ''like....'' u know what i mean?lolx.
so ms heng set this ''rule'' for us..if any of us used the word like when we present..we have to pay 10 cents...hhahahahaa. so when its me and elica's turn to present..i said the word ''like'' 4 times!!omg..i said it without even realising it...=( so embarrassing!hhahaha and elica said 3times....=p
aiya..lots of pple owe money larh..there is a girl who said the word ''like'' 8 times! hahahahhaa.

after that we went to temples and local product shop.bought a lot of food=p i even bought for mrs kee and ms soh(: intending to give them on tues(class gathering!)
we had to climb 109 steps(i think) to reach this temple..and i regret sooo badly for not going into that temple with them!!!! i was too lazy...so i stayed with a few other pple who didnt want to go too.arrrghhhh!! i regret so much cos they took photos of the sec 1 prefects and the 57 prefects formed the words SCGS and mr ang took photo of it!!=( =( i want to be in it too=((((

went to this chocolate shop.and bought a few chocolates...sigh..i shld have bought more man!
went for dinner at this 59 story high building(: and then we went shopping again.but then that stupid place is horrible!!!horrible!!there is practically nothing!!=(

back to hotel and had seminar again.this seminar was on rules.ohmy! i was getting super irritated cos the topic gets wider and wider and wider!!! cos pple will break rules in every any way..and we have to solve it.
for example..pple eating in class.can they just take a bit of their food outside class?if we let pple
do that what will happen...what others will say..what will others do..
letting pple stay in class during recess....what are the consequenecs..

and manymanymany more!!arrghhh it will never end!!i was think y cant pple just don break rules!!!!sigh..
we stayed up until like 11.15p.m to discuss all this after having such a long day..and we had a little party for mrs b cos she is leaving the PB.=(

i wont go into details for this cos its v long..but if u want to know ask me(: i will sure tel u!hehe.
but it was just touching..and funny!!hhahahhaa..esp ms heng!LOL.
and on the 3rd day.. our curfew time was 2.30a.m!!hahahaha our first and sec day was 12...

day 4

it was a very short day cos we need time to travel back to singapore as it takes 12 hours!so we had our last ''seminar'' and we just need to do a feedback form. as the feedback form is set by mr ang...the way the questions are asked is something like in SOURCE BASE form!hahhahaha omg! a real typical hist teacher man!lol!

after which we set off for singapore at around 9.45A.M and reached singapore(school) at 10 P.M.

I had a wonderful time in penang!!i have learned quite number of things through the seminars.some pple may think that its v boring..but it think it was vv interesting.cos i guess it did ''motivate'' me a little..and gave more confidence in carrying out my duties.
as well as how to handle some problems that we often faced.

and after this seminar..i made more friends and get to know them better.and i admire sharmaine(head prefect) cos she can really speak very well...and she knows what is right and what is wrong. she really has this vvv strong leadership skills in her.and tt makes her almost a perfect person.

and i also realised how nice mr ang, mrs b,ms kim and ms heng are. esp mr ang.mrs b told us somethings about him..and it v touching..hahahaha.he really is a gentleman..a vv nice guy..hahahhaa i don mean anything k!=p but he is just nice! he is the AH PA of the Prefectorial Board!!!=DDDDD hahahahaha.
