what is your definition of a best friend?
this has been in my thoughts for quite some time..
I realised it has been a long time since i used the term "my best friend".
I started counting how many people I've actually called my best friend and I realised for this 18years, I have only called 3 people "my best friend".
one in k2, one in p3 and one in p6.
I am always so thankful for the friends whom i'm blessed with, and i just can't thank God enough for them. but there was one day when this question just came into my thoughts,
" who is your best friend"?
I thought it was such an easy question, but guess what. i couldn't answer to myself .. and so that got me thinking.
I have so many friends around me whom i call them my close friends/good friends and I do feel loved, but who is my best friend?
as for me, my definition of a best friend is
"someone who knows and and understands me really well.(so well that some times she/he even know what i'm thinking without me telling) someone who will always be there for me whenever i need; anytime, anywhere. "
as i was thinking.. I realised actually all my close friends are best friends to me in one way or another. it's so true because i also realised i share different things with different people. I do different stuff and even go to different places with different people. I even speak differently(in terms of language and the use of words etc) with different people.
ohmy, i sound as though i have split personality, but i guess this is how we humans need to learn to be flexible as the people we meet are all different. BUT, we have to be sincere in whatever we do, do not be who we are not just to please someone. that's what i believe.
though i wish to have just one whom i can call my best friend, whom I can share everything and anything with, but i am already very thankful. perhaps when I finally found that someone, and if it's a guy, that will probably be my boyfriend or my husband already. hahaha
or maybe best friend is acutally only just a term.
but God, you are my bestest friend(:
