:: Prom ::
It was quite a fun night where everyone is free from stress! although i still must say that the process of prom really irritated me! from choosing hair to makeup to dress to shoes. omg.. it was really TIRING. so i don't really look forward to another prom. maybe once in a life time is enough. haha. ohyes and we stayed in goodwood park hotel(: i liked the hotel very much! i think this is the first hotel i have ever stayed in singapore and it is also one of the best hotels i've stayed(:
:: Basketball Camp ::
This year we had our bball camp at aloha loyang. had bbq on the last night and we spent the rest of the time talking to our juniors. we talked until ard 3am! so we didn't sleep, we waited until 6am and went to see sunrise(: but we were facing the wrong direction so yea.. couldn't literally see the sun rise. all we saw was the sky becoming brighter. haha.
:: KL ::
[ i took this beautiful photo when we were on the way back to singapore. we stopped over at some place to eat and when we were abt to head for our car, we saw this beautiful view in front of us! so we stood there and watch the sun set. i have the pictures of the sun slowly going down until it disappears but i'm too lazy to upload. heh. ]
yes i went KL for two days. haha. this time i didn't take a bus in neither did i take a plane. this time my brother drove in. well, it was only the 3 of us. me, my brother and my mum. this is my first time travelling to KL by car! i dont think i've sat in a car for such a long period of time before. so far i've only went to johor by car. well but my brother drove really fast. we made it in to KL in 2.5hrs! haha. well i did go shopping but i wasn't in my shopping mood AT ALL! so... i didn't buy much. only bought 3 shirts and a pair of shoes (which is too big!).
on the last day we walked down to KLCC which was v near my hotel. i find that place quite cool cos they have everything there! they even have zara, mango and topshop! oh and A&W!! (: and dunkin doughnuts too. i was lucky, isetan was having sale! and i got really cheap nike and puma shirts :D
:: China Trip ::
Hangzhou.Wuxi.Nanjing.Suzhou.Shanghai
Hangzhou
Shanghai
it has been a long time ever since i took a tour. i think the last time was when i went to korea in p3? not including the time when i went to NZ for my geog trip. but this time i went to china by tour. okay there was something wrong with my flight schedule. LOOONG story and i'm sure i have told quite a few of you about it already. so i'm not going to type it out. but instead of flying on the 8th we flew on the 9th. it was REALLY an experience man. we couldn't believe it when we knew there was a mistake in the flight.
my tour group was already very small. only made up of 10 people. but bcos of some problems, we ended up with 5 people. it was really different cos i've never been for a tour with only so few people. i prefer it this way of cos(: smaller the better! out of all the cities i've visted, or do u call them province? anyway, of all the places i've visited, i think i like nanjing and shanghai the most. i don't really like hangzhou cos the pace of life is really slow that is so boring and also because they live a very simple life. acc to my tour guide, he says that all they like to do is play cards. ohwell.
i don't really know much about wuxi so no comments. only went to that high class restaurant to eat and went to the pearl factory. haha.
when i was in nanjing, it was their 70th anniversary of the massacre. i can tell that until today, they still hate the japanese very much. apparently, every year some japanese do come back to sort of like apologise for what they have done. i believe that they themselves are ashamed of what they have done, if not they wouldn't have tried changing the history in their jap textbooks.but guess what!! since it's the anniversary, the museum is not open to the public! so i couldn't go!! i was so dissappointed. that was what i wanted to see the most. and i also missed the part where at 10am, there will be the siren and all the cars on the road have to press 3 long horns. well, i missed that cos i was in that stupid jade factory. sheesh. nvm, i told myself that next time i will go back to nanjing again to visit the museum!
next is suzhou. well, nothing much actually. only went to the silk factory and this place which i forgot the name. heh. oh i bought a 80bucks pillow and a 120bucks quilt which i'm sleeping on now. very comfy cos they are made of silk(:
my last stop was in shanghai. the cruise along the yellow river (huang pu jiang) was great(: it was really nice to stand outside the boat with cold wind being blown at you. it feels really good man(: the scenary was beautiful too! oh and the pearl tower. actually i dont find the pearl tower anything great, just that it is really tall(i forgot how many stories high though. 70? 90?) but it looks very nice from the outside when it is lighted up at night. okay and so my last two days was spent shopping in shanghai. went to qi pu lu where the wholesale place is. and then went to nanjing lu to shop at night. i didn't buy a lot cos the clothes there are mostly long sleeves, and some the prices are about the same as singapore or some even more ex. but still, it was quite nice to shop there(: i believe if i go shanghai during summer, i will spend a bomb there. haha.
so all in all, it was quite a memorable trip i should say. rather interesting and fun as there was a balance between shopping and sight seeing (:
surprising summary of the few things i bought: 1 jeans, 2 jackets, 3 shirts, 1 bag, 2 earrings, 2 necklaces, 2 wallets.
NO SHOES :(((
:: Melbourne Trip ::
i went to melbourne for about 10 days. this is my first time taking a plane by myself. not so scary afterall(: melbourne and china is a big contrast. it is like a two different world. firstly, the toilets in melbourne are super clean! hahaha. and shopping is like 10 times better!
i thank God for lettine me meet so many wonderful people(: the people in the pictures are some of the people whom i met in melbourne. apart from audrie, the others are new faces, but i'm really glad to know them(: my time spent in melbourne wouldn't have been so wonderful without them. oh and the food which i really miss is SCONES! love it man!
i bought quite a bit in melbourne, but i would have bought even more if my mum was there! haha. i'm still quite satisfied la, but again i didn't get SHOES! :(((( and i only bought ONE bag. there is so much to say about melbourne that is too long to type it out. but there is one thing i have to say. that is, i feel really blessed when i was in melbourne. i have learned a lot when i was there, i have also seen and experienced a lot. And i Thank God for making my 2007 nov and dec holiday such a wonderful and memorable one(:
